We’re Building Another Dolby Atmos Theater

The goal of the project is to enhance audience comfort and bring the quality of the movie-watching experience up to the current standard of modern movie theaters

The main auditorium at Brno’s Kino Art is set to undergo a major technological upgrade. The renovation, which has been underway since late April, will provide visitors with a new Dolby Atmos sound system as well as upgrades to the ventilation and air conditioning systems.

The current 7.1 sound system will be upgraded to Dolby Atmos, one of the most advanced spatial audio formats for digital cinemas. The new solution will enable more precise localization of individual audio tracks within the space and significantly more realistic reproduction of film sound. This will provide audiences with a more intense and immersive experience, especially during screenings of blockbuster and action films.

The renovation also includes a new acoustic design for the auditorium, which, together with the modernization of the sound system, will contribute to more precise sound reproduction and an even more impressive cinematic experience.

The renovation also includes the installation of a new heat recovery unit and air conditioning technology, which will significantly improve the environment in the main auditorium during the summer months, even when the theater is at full capacity. The renovation thus responds not only to technological developments in the field of digital cinema but also to visitors’ demands for greater comfort during screenings.

Once the modernization is complete, visitors can look forward to screenings of highly anticipated new films in Dolby Atmos quality, including upcoming titles such as *Odyssey* directed by Christopher Nolan and the third installment of *Dune*.
