The municipal 3D panoramic cinema in Partizánske is set to undergo another technological upgrade. The city is preparing to redigitalize the projection equipment, building on the cinema’s previous modernization, with the aim of ensuring higher-quality images, more energy-efficient operation, and a longer service life for key technologies.

The Partizánske Cinema underwent a major modernization in 2015, when the auditorium, electrical wiring, acoustics, flooring, and seating were renovated. Those upgrades contributed to increased audience comfort and paved the way for further technological development. The goal of the new project is to replace the current projector with a more modern laser solution, which is expected to deliver higher projection quality while reducing electricity consumption by more than 50%. The planned renovation will also include replacing the projection screen with a new one featuring a higher reflectance coefficient, a new audio processor, a computer workstation for operators, remote management capabilities, and other technical equipment related to the projector replacement.

The cinema will now be equipped with a Christie CP4425-RGB 4K DCI projector, a Dolby IMS-3000 4K DCI server, a Dolby CP950 audio processor, a GetD GK-600 polarized 3D system, and a state-of-the-art Harkness HUGO 3D screen.

This redigitalization represents another step in the gradual renovation of the cinema, which has long served not only as a venue for film screenings but also for cultural and social events in the city of Partizánske.
