Rudolf Jelínek brings an unforgettable experience from the world of fruit distillate production
RUDOLF JELÍNEK is not only a brand, it is above all our cultural heritage, a great story that inspires emotions. And it is this story, which visitors can learn about in the new visitor centre in Prague, that primarily emphasizes traditions and quality, originating from nature and extending beyond the borders of our country.
The exhibition is divided into four thematic units (history, landscape, plum, technology) and describes the following topics:
1. History of distillery and fruit growing.
2. The history of the RJ company and its legal predecessors up to the present, possibly with business in other countries and the export phenomenon.
3. Presentation of the entire production process – from the growth of orchards, to fruit harvesting, fermentation, distillation, maturation, bottling, to customer consumption or archiving.
4. The phenomenon of distillates / slivovice as a part of national culture/heritage, tradition of consumption = meeting (from birth, through marriage to funeral in traditional and contemporary world), distillation by growers.
5. Details of the kosher issue.
What can you look forward to?
- 55-minute interactive tour without a guide in Czech and English (or in other languages with audio guides)
- Tasting of 3 R. JELÍNEK products and 3 Wallachian canapés
- Tours start every 15 minutes (maximum capacity 12 people per tour)
- Possibility of renting audio guides – on request from the exhibition staff
