Analysis of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic presented at the press conference of representatives of the industry alliance!
The congress, event and trade fair industry comprises sectors that were hit by the Covid-19 pandemic among the first and almost the most. A new study by Economic Impact, conducted for the CzechTourism agency and the Czech Event Association, was presented at the press conference of representatives of the industry alliance of the event, trade fair and congress industry.
AV MEDIA EVENTS, as a member of the Czech Event Association, is one of the affected companies. That is why our executive director Jan Kubinec actively participates in activities and exerts pressure on the government to help.
According to the latest data from the study, this year’s drop compared to last year’s performance is more than 71%, and further problems can be expected. These sectors employ a large number of people. Under normal circumstances, the field would generate nearly 160,000 full-time workers in 2020, and now up to 71 percent of those are at risk. Representatives of the Alliance called on the Prime Minister to take part in effective assistance to our industry.
