3D systems allow viewers to enter the space of the film and become part of the action. The 3D sensation on the huge cinema screen will thus enhance the already powerful cinema experience. Today, 3D systems are gaining ground mainly with circular polarization technology and disposable and cheap 3D glasses. This mainstream technology 3D prevails among the majority of single-hall cinemas as well as in multiplex cinemas.
For post-production and smaller or VIP halls, 3D technology with active LCD 3D glasses can also be considered. With the right design, the image can be 3D of a higher quality and the acquisition price can be lower, although this is slightly redeemed by higher operating costs and handling of 3D glasses.
