ROOM AT THE FILM AND TELEVISION FACULTY IN BRATISLAVA
DCI 4K Post-production Solution at the Department of Audiovisual Studies

The Film and Television Faculty is the oldest and the most prestigious filmmaking school in Slovakia. The Department of Audiovisual Studies provides its students with an extraordinary study programme called Audiovisual Studies, which cannot be found anywhere else in Slovakia. The faculty offers modern technical equipment with two screening rooms, cameras, sound system, editing room and multimedia classrooms. As a result, the students are well prepared for their future jobs. They can apply for a wide range of jobs related not only to the production of movies and media but also to journalism, radio broadcast, etc.
AV MEDIA took care of the digitalisation of the existing screening room using the DCI 4K projection technology in the post-production version for D-Cinema in line with the DCI standard. We provided the DCI 4K post-production solution, with the DCI projector 4K Barco DP4K-P, including the 4K server Doremi IMB - ShowVault. The solution supplied also included a new white projection screen and upgrading the sound system to the 7.1 format, supported by the audio processor DataSat AP20.

The Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava is the biggest university of the arts in Slovakia. It is attended by 1,050 students developing their talents in theatrical, filmmaking, music and dancing study programmes. The graduates become the leaders of the Slovakian arts and culture.
