Municipality of Olomouc
After almost twenty years, the large meeting hall of the Olomouc City Hall has undergone a major modernization. Today it offers full support for hybrid meetings, digital voting and professional online broadcasts. The modernisation included a complete renewal of the audiovisual equipment, the installation of a new voting system with intuitive controls, the technical support of remote participation, the deployment of streaming and recording equipment, two new side projections for clear content sharing and, last but not least, the reconstruction of the overhead workstation, which now enables the efficient management of the entire AV solution.
What does this mean in practice?
An exceptional space has been created that now offers a wide range of uses - from council meetings to professional conferences to interactive online meetings.
Each councillor has a personal identification card which they insert into the voting unit. This activates the device and the system also automatically identifies the speaker, points the camera at them and prepares the environment for the actual voting. The design of the new voting system was entrusted to an expert who is well versed in the workings of local government - a former member of the city council.
The design of the voting system display required a sensitive approach to avoid unwanted glare and ambient light. The optimal solution was found through the use of 3D printing and the precise design of the individual parts of the device. The result is a system that is not only functional and visually elegant, but also allows connection to personalised devices such as a laptop or mobile phone.
Modernisation was not limited to the voting system. The entire hall now functions as an intelligent unit, controllable via a touch panel. Users can easily choose one of the preset scenarios, adjust lighting, set shading, select inputs and outputs for shared content, or adapt audio and video conditions to suit current needs.
In addition, the newly designed solution fully supports hybrid meeting formats, greatly expanding the possibilities of using the room. Streaming and recording allow not only live streaming but also archiving for later playback. Two side projections ensure that visual information is clearly and clearly shared across the entire room. A modernised overhead workstation provides complete control over all audio-visual inputs and outputs.
From one central location, the entire audiovisual operation can be controlled - from audio to video to data transmissions. The result is a space that is clear, accessible and technically easy to use for all participants. This allows representatives and other attendees to fully focus on the content of the meeting, whether they are physically present or connected remotely.
The meeting room has been transformed into a smart and inspiring environment that meets the current demands of modern and digitized public administration.
