Colours of Ostrava 2015

The tones of the multi-genre international music festival Colours of Ostrava once again resonated throughout the industrial environment in Dolní Vítkovice (Lower Vítkovice) in Ostrava.

Lighting a non-traditional space

AV MEDIA provided complete lighting including the light design plan for the whole Jack Daniel’s FIRE site this year. Since the Jack Daniel’s zone was located in the middle of the industrial space, interesting proposals for non-traditional lighting were directly offered.

We utilized a whole series of outdoor intelligent ROBE lighting, which illuminated the large steel boilers, the smoke rising from the open pipes, bars, table football and other activities and last but not least, created beautiful lighting effects. We even added fog machines, which flawlessly provided the feeling of a functioning factory. Everything was controlled by a MA dot2 XL-F lighting console.

YVENTECH at Colours of Ostrava

Our sister company, YVENTECH, was once again the main video partner of the entire Colours of Ostrava festival, where they brought and installed around 25 tons of technology. All 9 main stages were equipped with cameras, editing consoles and recording equipment. Furthermore, they provided the LED lighting, plasma displays, projectors and a screen for individual bands. In total, more than 320 m2 were projected there. You can read more on Yventech‘s Facebook page or on their web pages.
